I saw one of my friends doing this and LOVED the idea. It just looked like so much fun to put together and find fun reading things to wish for. These items are just "dreams", but a girl can dream, right... :)

The Sun and Her Flowers

I sincerely enjoyed and quickly devoured Milk and Honey after finding it on Amazon Prime Reading for free. I downloaded it just because it was there to read, but I am so glad I read it. I walked away from it feeling empowered and would love to learn more from this talented author.





The Whole Thing Together
by: Ann Brashares

I was a HUGE Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants fan growing up! I would love to read a new Ann Brashares book and enjoy her writing again.







The Other Einstein
by: Marie Benedict

I have no idea why, but this book seems really interesting to me. I am not usually a historical fiction person, but I would love to give this one a try!








My Lovely Wife in the Psych Ward


Lately, I have been on a huge "reading about mental health" kick. I came across this book while voting for Goodreads top books of 2017. I keep looking at this book but am really trying to save money for Christmas so haven't bought it. It looks very interesting!

This past quarter, I began blogging about books with my students. I have found that I immensely enjoy writing about books and the craziness of the worlds I pretend to live in throughout the duration of a book. I've enjoyed seeing my students' excitement as they have an outlet and tool to discuss their book and their personal thoughts on the events happening. I have been blogging right along with my students about the books I've been reading, but I have had to keep it "student-friendly" with my thoughts and the format. Fairest of All (Villains Series Bk 1)

Soooooo I just finished the Disney Villains Series by Serena Valentino by reading it backwards (oops!). If you have been keeping up with my blog, you already know this, but I started with the second book in this series, The Beast Within, unaware that they actually connected to each other. While reading The Beast Within, there were parts that really confused me and that I honestly felt like I had no idea what was going on, which may have led me to think that Valentino did not go into enough detail or that her writing was lacking description...Now, hold on Valentino lovers! It was my fault, not hers! Now that I have read the first book in this series, the entire thing makes SOOO much more sense... crazy right?! I have never been a huge Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs fan, but this book was still pretty good. It definitely captured my interest and is a quick and easy read.  So let me start by saying that I am a huge Khloe fan. Out of all the Kardashian sisters, Khloe is my favorite with Kourtney coming up as a close second. My fiance bought me this book for a few reasons. One reason is that I am Khloe fan, but I also wanted to know more. I wanted to know more about her split from Lamar and how she lost so much weight and became even more gorgeous. I wanted to know about Bruce's transition to becoming Caitlyn and how that affected her... Now, I will also be honest that this book took me over a year to finish. Not because it wasn't good, but because it somehow always was placed on the backburner for my "fun" books. I read this book when I needed a pick-me-up. The book was mostly meant to inspire other women to be more positive and to explain how she went about learning to love working out.
